Protest in London

In London, students protested a proposed (and passed) tuition increase from 3,290 pounds to 9,000 pounds.  Riots are scary things…  One student was beaten and bled from his brain.

Johnny Cash Project

This is one of the coolest video projects that I’ve ever seen.

Basically, it’s a slideshow of pictures drawn and submitted by all different people that shows a video to Johnny Cash’s last studio recording, Ain’t No Grave, with the song played over the whole slideshow.

Credit to Jess Columbo for finding this little nugget of gold.  Enjoy

Since the video doesn’t work from WordPress, here’s the link to the actual website

Ideas Galore.

I am writing this post to have my thoughts “notoraized,” if you will.  The only purpose of this post is to have a public, dated record of the fact that I have an idea for the future.  In this day and age, I feel that this is necessary, especially after seeing the social network.

I have been calling around MSU to find out whether I can take pictures of MSU’s campus and buildings, and then take pictures inside of MSU buildings and put them on a website, of my creation, that does not directly have an academic purpose.  It may, however indirectly affect academics, as well as have a very positive affect on MSU.

I first came up with the idea on Tuesday, November 24th, 2010 at 12:50 PM local time.

Facebook Messages?

Mark Zuckerberg is on the move again.  This time with a project called Facebook Messages, which is an apparent evolution of e-mail.  F.M is a progressive application that is based on the communication of today, AKA text messages and “instant-transit” avenues and make it more in-key with the Generation Ys and Millennials who have become accustomed to these types of instantaneous communications.  Facebook Messaging took 15 months and 15 engineers to develop and is Facebook’s biggest project thus far.

Zuckerberg did add, “This is not an e-mail killer,” Mr. Zuckerberg said, adding: “We don’t expect anyone to wake up tomorrow and say they are going to shut down” their current e-mail accounts.”

An interesting concept that has potential, judging from how successful Facebook messaging was in killing other messaging formats like AIM and iChat.
